15.10.100 Unlawful possession of a controlled substance with a firearm.

(a) A person commits the offense of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with a firearm if the person:
(1) Commits an offense defined in YTC 15.10.060 through 15.10.090 and is a convicted felon; and
(2) In connection with that offense, possesses any semiautomatic firearm, automatic firearm, or explosive weapon.
(b) Each firearm possessed in violation of this section shall constitute a separate offense and be subject to a minimum fine of $500.00. The fine specified in this section is a minimum fine and does not limit the imposition of a greater monetary sanction or additional sanctions.
