(a) A Yurok bar exam application must be filled out and returned to the Yurok Tribal Court, Attn. Court Clerk, P.O. Box 1027, Klamath, CA 95548 or at the email: courtclerk@yuroktribe.nsn.us. The cost for requesting a bounded hard copy version of the bar exam is $50.00. The cost for having the bar exam emailed is $10.00. The application fee is nonrefundable. This fee is waived for Yurok government employees.

(b) Once the bar exam is mailed or emailed the applicant has 90 days to return the typed questions section of the bar exam for grading or the applicant will have to reapply.

(c) The bar exam is open book and consists of multiple choice, true and false, short answer, and essay questions. Topics include Yurok laws and other applicable federal Indian law.

(d) Applicants need to receive a minimum score of 70 in order to be admitted to the bar. [Ord. 51 § 7, adopted, 10/25/2017.]
