Parents are usually only required to support their child until that child reaches the age of 18. However, the parents are required to support an unmarried child who turns 18 while the child is still attending high school or a General Equivalency Degree program full time. Parents are no longer required to support a child who becomes emancipated by marriage, active military service, or court order of emancipation. [Ord. 50 § 7.5(13), adopted, 3/23/2017.]
