Community service shall be available to reduce fine amounts, but in no case shall it reduce the fine amount below the minimum specified in this schedule. Each full hour of community service shall reduce a fine amount by $10.00.
1Graduated sanctions shall apply for subsequent offenses occurring within three years of a prior offense under the same code section. Minimum fines for subsequent offenses are indicated by a multiplying factor. For example, the minimum fine for a second violation of YTC 20.05.270 would be 1.5 x $25.00 = $37.50, while a third offense would necessitate a minimum fine of 2 x $25.00 = $50.00. The Tribal Court is not limited by the graduated sanctions detailed in this Traffic Fine Schedule and may impose enhanced sanctions that exceed the multiplying factors used to determine graduated sanctions.
