(a) Duplicate originals of the articles of incorporation shall be delivered to the Clerk of the Tribal Council or his/her designee. If the Clerk of the Tribal Council or his/her designee finds that the articles of incorporation are in conformity with this Code, and all required fees are paid, the Clerk, or his/her designee, shall:

(1) Endorse on each original the word, “Filed,” and the effective date of the filing thereof.

(2) Create a file for the original and store same pursuant to current Tribal policies regarding retention of official documents.

(3) Notify the Tribal Council, in writing, that said filing has occurred.

(b) At the next scheduled Tribal Council meeting, the Tribal Council shall authorize the Clerk of the Tribal Council to issue a certificate of incorporation to which the other original shall be affixed.

(c) The Clerk of the Tribal Council shall then return the certificate of incorporation, together with the original articles of incorporation affixed thereto, to the incorporators or their representatives. [Ord. 18 Part I § 7, adopted, 10/7/2008.]
