3.35.080 Purpose and measure.
Each petition signature page must meet the following requirements:
(a) Initiative or Amendment Petition. A petition for an initiative or amendment to the Constitution must contain the statement that “THE PURPOSE OF THIS PETITION IS TO HAVE AN ELECTION ON _________” followed by a summary of the measure proposed and the current legislation or Constitutional section to be amended, if any. Each petition signature page must have attached to it a complete copy of the proposed initiative or amendment.
(b) Recall Petition. A petition for recall of an elected official must contain the statement that “THE PURPOSE OF THIS PETITION IS TO HAVE AN ELECTION TO RECALL _________” followed by the name of the elected official that is the subject of the recall and that official’s elected position.
