(a) The Planning and Community Development Department shall review all applications for building permits and certificates for completeness and accuracy before the applications are accepted and officially filed as complete. If the application is determined to be incomplete, the Department shall send notification of such finding and shall indicate what is required for it to be considered complete by mail within 30 calendar days after receipt of the application. If no response is received within 30 calendar days of applicant notification, applications deemed incomplete shall be returned to the applicant with any fees that were paid and no further action shall be taken until the applicant resubmits the application with the required information.

(b) During the application check, the Department may refer copies of the application to any Tribal Department that may have relevant authority or expertise. Along with the referral, the Department shall include notification that responses from the departments must be received within 10 working days or the Department shall assume no response is forthcoming. This does not excuse the applicant of any other requirements which include departments and/or agency notifications.

(c) Where the Department has determined that an application is incomplete, and where the applicant believes that the information requested to complete the application is not required, the applicant may request in writing that the Tribe schedule a meeting between the Planning Department staff and the applicant within 30 working days.

(d) Upon acceptance of an application as complete, the Planning Department shall complete a review within 30 working days. [Ord. 50.1 § 4301, adopted, 5/11/2017.]
