A building permit shall expire and become null and void at the time specified in such permit or, if no time is specified, at the expiration of one year after all applicable appeal periods have lapsed; except where construction or use in reliance on such permit or variance has commenced prior to its expiration. If construction has commenced prior to expiration, the permit shall expire within one year of documenting construction site work in progress. [Ord. 50.1 § 4504, adopted, 5/11/2017.]
