Pursuant to the authority vested in the Yurok Tribe by its Constitution, and particularly by Article I, Section 4 and Article IV, Section 5 thereof, and its authority to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the Tribe and Tribal members, the Yurok Tribal Council hereby establishes a public body that is a political subdivision of the Tribe, known as the Yurok Indian Housing Authority, and enacts the ordinance codified in this chapter establishing the purposes and duties of the Authority.
