The purpose of this chapter is to protect wetlands, the Klamath River, and all waters under the jurisdiction of the Yurok Tribe, all natural resources relying on those wetlands and waters, and all beneficial uses thereof, including ceremonial, cultural, economic, fisheries, recreational, religious, residential, seasonal, ecological, and subsistence uses. In achieving these purposes, this chapter regulates activities with the potential to harm wetlands or the waters of the Reservation and to enforce against persons that violate the provisions of this chapter.
