Witnesses may be administered an oath by the Clerk of the Court as follows: “You do now solemnly swear (or affirm) the testimony you are to give in the matter now pending before this Court to be the truth and nothing but the truth.” Such oath will be administered only if requested by a witness or judge prior to their testimony. The Court will make no inferences from the fact that a person declines to be sworn or does not seek to be sworn and it will be presumed that Yurok people and those who are appearing before the Court are in fact telling the truth.
