(a) Notice of Forfeiture. Following the entry of an order of forfeiture under this chapter, the Tribal Prosecutor shall publish notice of the order in the Yurok Tribal newsletter and in a newspaper of general circulation in the county where the property subject to forfeiture is located.

(b) Petition for Hearing. Any person, other than the defendant, asserting a legal interest in property which is subject of a petition of forfeiture or has been ordered forfeited to the Yurok Tribe pursuant to this chapter may, within 60 days of the final publication of notice or that person’s receipt of notice, whichever is earlier, petition the Tribal Court for a hearing to adjudicate the validity of that person’s alleged interest in the property.
