The Yurok Tribe is authorized to retain, transfer to a state, federal, or Tribal governmental entity, or sell property forfeited under this chapter. For a beneficial interest in an allotment, the Yurok Tribe shall immediately pass the interest forfeited under this chapter on a pro rata basis to the remaining Indian interest holders. The disposal of land should be consistent with the land title. For instance, land that is held in trust by the United States should remain in trust.
