Article III. Procedure for Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Support Orders

A support order or income withholding order of another state or tribe may be registered in the Tribal Court by sending all of the following documents and information to the Tribal Court:

(a) A letter of transmittal requesting registration and enforcement;

(b) A certified copy of all orders to be registered, including any modification of an order;

(c) A sworn statement by the party seeking registration, or a certified statement by the custodian of records, showing the amount of any arrearage;

(d) The name of the obligor and any of the following that are known:

(1) The obligor’s address and Social Security number;

(2) The name and address of the obligor’s employer and any other source of income of the obligor;

(3) A description of property of the obligor on the Yurok Reservation, including its location, that is not exempt from execution;

(e) Except as provided in YTC 13.35.060, regarding nondisclosure of information in exceptional circumstances, the name and address of the obligee and, if applicable, the agency or other person to whom support payments are to be remitted. [Ord. 50 § 8.2(3)(A), adopted, 3/23/2017.]
