Upon proper filing of a foreign support order with the Tribal Court, the Tribal Court shall issue a summons directing the defendant to appear and respond to the motion requesting the Tribal Court to recognize and enforce the foreign support order. Such summons shall be served on the defendant in a manner consistent with Rule 2.7 of the Yurok Tribal Court Rules of Court. The notice must inform the nonregistering party of all of the following:

(b) That a hearing to contest the validity or enforcement of the registered order must be requested within 20 days after the date of mailing or personal service of the notice;

(c) That failure to appear as directed by the summons or failure to contest the enforcement of the foreign order in a timely manner will result in confirmation and enforcement of the order precluding further contest of that order with respect to any matter that could have been asserted; and

(d) The amount of any alleged arrearages. [Ord. 50 § 8.2(3)(B), adopted, 3/23/2017.]
