(a) Marriages in the following cases are prohibited:

(1) When either party thereto has a wife or husband living at the time of marriage;

(2) When the parties are nearer of kin to each other than second cousins;

(3) It shall be unlawful for any person to marry one of his or her parents, parents’ siblings, children, or grandchildren.

(b) Parties to a marriage prohibited under this chapter who cohabit after removal of the impediment are lawfully married as of the date of the removal of the impediment. [Ord. 50 § 3.2, adopted, 3/23/2017.]
