10.15.050 Jurisdiction, sovereignty immunity and standards of review.

(a) The Yurok Tribe hereby declares its special domestic violence criminal jurisdiction over any person should they commit an act of domestic violence within Yurok Territory and:
(1) Are a member of the Yurok Tribe; or
(2) Are or were a spouse, intimate partner, or dating partner of a member of the Yurok Tribe; or
(3) The victim is a member of the Yurok Tribe or another federally recognized tribe; or
(4) Are a member of another tribe who resides within the jurisdiction of the Yurok Tribe.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter or any other ordinances, Chapter 1.05 YTC, Sovereign Immunity and Standards of Court Review, applies. [Ord. 62B § 4005, amended, 11/7/2019.]
