Article VI. Evaluation and Treatment of Offenders

Any person who is found to have violated a protection order shall undergo an evaluation approved by the Court to determine whether the party should be required to obtain batterers intervention, substance abuse, and/or family counseling and treatment. The Court may seek the recommendation of Health and Human Services in identifying appropriate evaluators. The evaluation shall recommend the type of counseling or treatment, if any, the evaluator considers appropriate, and shall recommend any suitable counseling and/or treatment programs.
