A person commits the offense of child neglect if, having custody or control of a child under 18 years of age:

(a) Such parent or custodian fails to provide adequate food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education or supervision for the child’s health, safety or welfare;

(b) The person leaves the child unattended in or at any place for such period of time as may be likely to endanger the health or welfare of such child;

(c) The person commits any act or failure to act which would constitute child neglect as defined in YTC Title 12 , Children’s Code. [Ord. 64 § 2(2.6), amended, 4/6/2020; Ord. 23 § 2(2.6), adopted, 3/19/2010.]
